In response to COVID-19, Hothouse Yoga is implementing the following policies and protocols. These are subject to change as new guidelines are released by the CDC and local government.
+ CLASS REGISTRATION
- All yogis must sign up for class in advance. If you have not already done so, please create an online login at https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/asp/su1.asp?fl=true&tabID=2 and/or download the Mindbody consumer app to your phone. Classes can be booked up to 2 days in advance. Check out the video below for a walk-through!
- You must have a credit card saved on your profile in order to sign up for classes. If the system does not automatically prompt you, go to the My Info tab and click Profile and edit the billing information.
- Please be sure you are opted in to email and text communication through your online profile.
- You will have until 90 minutes prior to class to “early cancel” with no penalty. Cancellations can be made through your online account. Go to the My Info tab and click My Schedule.
- Cancelling a class in less than 90 minutes to class time or not showing up to class will result in a forfeit of a class punch/single walk-in purchase or a $20 fee if you are on the monthly autopay or yearly membership.
- IF THE CLASS IS FULL YOU WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITLIST. If a spot opens up and you are moved to the class list, you will be notified via email and text. The text message will give the option to accept or decline if you are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed list. This is very important! Find out more on how to enroll in notifications at www.hothouseyoga.com/waitlist-notifications
- If you have any issues with your online account, email Cara at info@hothouseyoga.com to troubleshoot.
+ STUDIO PROTOCOLS
- The studio will be open 10 minutes before class and 10 minutes after class. Please respect the space and follow this protocol, it is essential for staff to have the time to turn the space over for the next class. As you are signed up early, you don’t have to worry about getting a spot, you are confirmed!
- The entrance will be locked promptly at class start time and will not be accessible if you are late. Out of respect to your fellow yogis and your instructor, we ask you to be on time and stay until the end of the class. This is also a safety issue so that we do not have unlocked doors at any time during a class.
- Upon arrival, please sanitize your hands with the provided sanitizer and then again immediately after class.
- We ask that you only bring what you need for class into the space: your yoga mat, your towel, your water, and any props. Do not bring your purse, phone, backpack etc into the space at this time.
- We encourage you to come into the lobby, check in, and go right into the studio and stay there. Please avoid going in and out of the studio before class.
- Showers will not be available until further notice.
+ HEALTH
- Face coverings are not required, but the CDC recommends that individuals who are not fully vaccinated continue to social distance and wear a mask. If you are unwell or have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you stay home and follow the proper CDC guidelines before returning to class.
- Frequent hand washing/sanitizing is one of the best ways of keeping yourself and those around you healthy. Along with the hand-washing facilities in the bathroom, we will be providing hand sanitizer and encourage you to clean your hands before and after class.
- Take some time to evaluate your yoga gear and clothes. Have they developed a permanent sweat smell over time? Is your mat crumbling? This is a great time to start fresh with new gear if you need it. Clean gear and a properly cushioned mat aid in a healthy and safe practice.
+ STUDIO HYGIENE
- As always, we are committed to providing our community with the cleanest space possible. Before and after each class, all shared surfaces, door handles, floors, equipment (hand weights etc), will be sanitized as suggested by the CDC. We have researched various cleaning products that are effective in killing the COVID-19 virus and have invested in a hydrogen peroxide based, fragrance free, hospital grade product called Oxivir TB. Feel free to find more information about this product here: http://www.diverseyvericlean.com/diversey-vericlean-system/products/disinfectants/oxivir-tb
- We have invested in air purification ceiling units for each studio. You can find more information on the Iowa City unit here: https://sanuvox.com/product/sanuvair-500/ and the Coralville units here: https://sanuvox.com/product/sanuvair-s100/
