Cara Viner, Lead Teacher
Owner/Operator of Hothouse Yoga
BA, 500RYT, YACEP
Cara found her love of yoga at Hothouse a decade ago. After practicing for some years and teaching other forms of fitness, she decided to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Portland, OR at the Lotus Seed Yoga School in 2018. Whether she’s teaching vinyasa or hatha based classes, she enjoys putting together fun, unique, challenging, and shaped-based sequences that leave her participants feeling empowered and rejuvenated. In 2022, Cara completed her 300 hour advanced training with Christina Sell. Additional yoga training hours include prenatal, trauma recovery, and yin. Cara leads the 200 hour teaching training with fellow HHY teacher, Darcy LeFevre. She is a certified group fitness instructor through the American Council of Exercise and holds additional certifications in Barre Above, WERQ Dance Fitness, and is the creator of CYked! spin classes. Cara holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and International Human Rights.
When she isn't teaching or working on studio projects, you can find Cara on stage in various acting roles or spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.
Sarah Fischer, Guest Teacher
MA, ERYT500, YACEP
Sarah Fischer started practicing yoga in 2001 and became a teacher in 2007. Since then she has trained in and taught both Anusara and Ashaya Yoga (a post-Anusara style). More recently, she completed an additional 300-hr YTT in 2022 with Christina Sell (where she met Cara).
Sarah describes her teaching as heart-centered, meeting students where they are and moving forward together. Sarah loves to support students as they explore sacred alignment and mindful play so they can build a lifelong practice. She brings rich storytelling, intelligent sequencing, and life-affirming philosophy that support the students’ journeys. Along with teaching yoga, Sarah is a dedicated meditator and a Certified life coach. When she’s not working, she’s probably driving carpool, but she loves to read, quilt, and write. Sarah lives in Richmond, VA with her husband, two children and Sam the rescue lab.

~La Dogana is a historical building in the countryside of Umbria and was built with thick, stone walls. These types of buildings were made in an eco friendly way (before it was trendy!) in order to regulate the inside temperature. There is no central A/C in the apartments, but every bedroom will have a portable fan and windows can be left open. This retreat will have tones of rustic adventure and simple pleasures to connect with the natural joy that lives within each of us.
